Buy for only $ 53.80, SS "kit" offered on any Impala SS. It included inside and outside the Super Sport trim, chassis reinforcement, stronger springs and shocks, power brakes with sintered metallic linings, spinner-type wheel guards and one of the first Chevy Impala to narrow band white wall tires. Dashboard acquired Chevrolet Corvette-type handle passenger and the steering column has a 7000-rpm tachometer.

Available 348-cid four-barrel mill ranged from 305 horses in the tri-carb 350th Another possibility was the 409th in fact, larger displacement 348 of the update including forged aluminum pistons, camshafts wilder and 11.25:1 compression. A four-barrel aluminum pair varied. It was 360 hp. It is also history.
